Fang Song

Fang Song refers to loosening the body. This will be an ongoing development but it stands as one of the most important basics because to the degree you can loosen your body, it will determine the benefit and circulation that you can achieve which will move the blood and energy through your body. The program we offer is a General Warm up Fang Song, Spinal Refreshment Exercise and Eight Pieces of Brocade.

General Loosening

We use a collection of exercises primarily designed to loosen up the major joints and some of the minor ones. We also have some light stretching designed to expand and open the body. The exercises are taken from several of the top masters we have mentioned on this site in Tai Chi Chuan.

Spinal Refreshment

Spinal Refreshment Exercise is a special stretching exercise from Chen Bing designed to open up all the areas associated with the spine acknowledging the importance of the spine in the chi development in Tai Chi Chuan.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong means an exercise that works the qi in the body. We use Eight Piece of Brocade, Li Enjuis 8 Qigong exercises, Zhu Tian Cai's 8 movement set called Tai Chi Qi Gong and we use the exercise of Chen Bing's described earlier. Qi Gong focuses on the breathing while opening the body through stretch etc.
