Daniel Pai


Daniel Pai was my main teacher from about 1968 ro 1976. From him I learned about how the mind plays a large role in fighting. I learned that you must be ready for change. When I stayed up in his school in Hartford we might wake up in the middle of the night to suddenly go to New York for a demonstration. We might then be back in Hartford for an event that evening. I could probably tell stories for hours about my time with Mr. Pai. I was young and learning a lot about life at the same time so I appreciate the things that I learned at that time.

I knew I wanted to study deeper in certain areas that Mr. Pai was not that involved. I also am grateful that he allowed me to study with Mr. Casey (my next teacher) for several years before I left the Pailum organization in 1976.
